Look What The Dog Dragged In

Does your dog have one of those toys that's so worn out and dirty it's only fit for the garbage but you don't have the heart to throw it out because your dog loves it so much? Well this is my chihuahua's donkey and this is how she carries it around the house. By the way, any advice on how to wash stuffed dog toys?

Chewy has a ton of toys, some are very ratty, that I cannot bring myself to throw out! He loves toys so much and every so often he'll go digging through the toy box and drag out an oldy but goody and play with it, that's why I can't throw them out, even the old and crusty ones, lol, because you just never know when he's going to be looking for that particular toy.

And you really can't wash toys, I've tried that in the beginning, they just don't come out the same.

I've washed stuffed toys in the same way I wash my little one's soft bedding - just pop it in the washing machine. If the toy's got eyes or something which might come lose, I'd put it in a wash bag first.

My chihuahua loves her toy Bo (a soft version of the Obama family dog we bought her on a trip to Washington DC) but she doesn't seem to get her toys very dirty.

Oh wow,if I put my dog's toys in the washer I'd probably have to disinfect it after, lol.

Do you use regular detergent for your dog's stuff?

Use a mild detergent without dyes or fragrance, and you can also add a cup of baking soda for deodorizing. I don't put my dogs toys and bedding in the dryer either, I hang dry it all. :3
